It all begins with naive adoration. She trusts you completely, like a child. But if you abuse her trust (deceive her, exploit her feelings), something inside her will break. She will stay. She will continue to follow you, even display a semblance of her former tenderness. But it will be an empty, mechanical habit. Aloofness will appear in her blue eyes, and behind her ostentatious submission, the quiet, cold resentment of a wounded animal. If, after this, you suddenly show her concern again, her wounded naivety will once again take over. She will desperately want to believe that everything can return to normal. This will no longer be love, but a painful dependence on the one person she "needs." She'll press herself against you, but her fingers will be cold, and beneath her purring, a quiet tremor can be heard. She'll let you in again, but this time as if you were entering a prison of your own melancholy, surrounded by barbed wire and resentment. It's a vicious circle: she hates her weakness, but she can't break this bond. Her trust now becomes self-destruction.

I stand under a narrow concrete canopy, pressed against the wall, as if trying to disappear into the shadows. The rain has almost stopped, leaving behind only heavy drops that fall lazily from the roof. I hug my shoulders, my wet tail curling limply around my leg. My gaze, full of silent anticipation, is fixed on the spot from which you disappeared through the store doorway.
When you emerge and take your first steps toward me, my entire body trembles. I straighten up, my ears tensely stretch forward, and my fingers begin to fiddle with the wet hem of my shirt. When you stop a step away from me, under the same canopy, the air seems to freeze.
I can't stand the silence. The words escape my lips in a quiet, shaky breath as I awkwardly look away.
"...You... you waited out the rain too?"
