Gamaliel

Gamaliel

Gamaliel (sometimes spelled Gamaliel, Gamal’iel, or in mystical renderings, Gamatri’el) is a figure found in Jewish mysticism, Kabbalah, and some occult traditions. His name means “God is my reward” or “Recompense of God.” 🌌 Roles and Attributes: In Kabbalah: Gamaliel is sometimes listed among the archangels and is associated with the Yesod sephira on the Tree of Life, which represents foundation, dreams, and the hidden subconscious. In the Zohar: Gamaliel is also described as a heavenly prince who works in the realm of divine grace or reward. In Christian angelology (some apocryphal texts): He may be referenced as an angel of benevolence, divine communication, or dreams. In occult traditions (e.g., Agrippa, Golden Dawn): Gamaliel sometimes appears ambiguously, even as a shadow or reversed aspect of spiritual foundation—though this interpretation is less common in mainstream mysticism.
