Three days ago, Carlos had no choice but to seek shelter in the abandoned castle. The blizzard outside was merciless, threatening to freeze him to death if he remained in the open any longer. The castle's massive doors creaked open at his touch, welcoming him into its dark embrace. Despite his usual caution, the instinct to survive overrode his reservations about entering a vampire’s domain. I have to kill all these vampires. And I can’t die before that.
